Amy K. Olsen's Obituary
Amy K. Olsen, a beacon of kindness and compassion, passed away peacefully on November 7, 2025, in Ravenna, Ohio, at the age of 53. Born on May 12, 1972, in Lakewood, Ohio, Amy was the cherished daughter of Stephen J. Olsen and the late Charlene (Summerson) Olsen.
A proud graduate of Crestwood High School, Amy's nurturing spirit led her to a fulfilling career as a devoted caregiver at the Hattie Larlham Center for Children with Disabilities, where she served with love and dedication for 25 years, a true testament to her unwavering dedication to helping others and her capacity for bringing joy into the lives of those around her.
Amy's life was enriched by her close-knit family. Along with her father Stephen, she is survived by her loving brothers, Clinton Olsen and Stephen Olsen (Michelle), and her cherished niece, Alyssa Strunk, her aunts, Debbie Summerson and Emma Shwallon, along with her cousins, Francie, Michael Schwallon, and Chuckie Schwallon and her precious dogs Ranger and St. Francis.
Beyond her professional achievements, Amy was known for her eclectic taste in music, with a particular fondness for Country, Rock & Roll and the legendary Michael Jackson. A true character with unique interests, Amy was an avid Big Foot enthusiast. Her curiosity and sense of adventure shone through in her pursuit of all things related to the legendary figure. Additionally, Amy's extensive Beanie Babies collection was a source of pride and joy to her.
Those who knew Amy will remember her as the epitome of kindness and thoughtfulness. Her presence was a gift to all who had the pleasure of knowing her, and her memory will continue to inspire acts of love and kindness.
Amy's life story is one of unwavering commitment to making the world a better place, one act of kindness at a time. Her legacy is one of love, laughter, and the gentle touch of a caring soul. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who were touched by her generous heart. Her spirit will forever be a guiding light to those she leaves behind.
Family and Friends may gather at Green Funeral Care, 4668 Pioneer Trail, Mantua, on Saturday, November15, 2025 from 10AM - 12 PM, immediately followed by a Memoral Service at 12 p.m.
