Joshua Mortus
I first met Mr. Menkens when I was dating my wife in 2011. His family is neighbors with my in-laws, the Orzechowski's and Hovey's. I always enjoyed stopping by in front of the front porch just to chat, whether it was about life, his time in Nam, or about baseball, Mr. Menkens was a blast to talk to. We'd often see each other when I was living next door for awhile, when I'd go out and cut the fields. He'd get a kick seeing me drive my nephew's go kart up and down the street...told me one of these days, I'm gonna get ran over.....I'm gonna miss his smiling face. Rest easy sir.
