Charles G. Menken's Obituary
Charles G. Menken, known affectionately to friends and family as “Chuck”, passed away peacefully on February 1, 2025, at his home in Hiram Township, Ohio. Born on February 19, 1951, in Cleveland, Ohio, Chuck was the son of the late Charles H. and Catherine (Dolsen) Menken.
Chuck was a Vietnam Veteran of the U.S. Army and worked as a Maintenance Supervisor at Warrensville Heights School District. On November 4, 1972, Chuck married his beloved wife, Sandra (Davies) Menken. They were blessed with two children, a son, Charles "Chuck" Menken (Rhonda) of Hiram Township, and a daughter, Kim Menken of Hiram Township; Chuck's cherished grandchildren, Dana (Connor) Ellis, Victoria Menken, Andrea Menken, his infant granddaughter, Amber Menken, who passed away in 1995. Chuck is also survived by his caring sister, Margaret Halfhill (the late John) of Elyria, Ohio, and his brother, Daniel Menken (Sue) of Ekron, Kentucky.
Chuck was an enthusiast of the Cleveland Guardians Baseball Team and his 1941 Ford Coupe brought him immense pride and joy. He was also incredibly handy and took pleasure in remodeling projects around the house.
In honor of Chuck’s wishes, private services will be held.
