Alice L. Wade's Obituary
WINDHAMAlice L. Wade, 86 years of age of Windham, went to be with the Lord on June 8, 2009. Her passing took place at Robinson Memorial Hospital in Ravenna, Ohio. Mrs. Wade was born in Boyers, Pennsylvania on December 23, 1922 the daughter of the late Clair Y. and Nellie F. (Perry) Kerr. A resident of the Windham area the past 65 years, she was a member of Windham Bible Church. Mrs. Wade had been employed at Pyramid Rubber in Ravenna as a line operator and then as a secretary at Kent Social Services retiring after 13 years of service. Alice enjoyed fishing, camping, going on bus tours and doing jigsaw puzzles. Survivors include her nieces, Freida Goldman of Windham, Nancy (Tim) Szanto of Mantua, Dodi Donaldson of Ravenna and Debi Donaldson of Rootstown; nephew, Buddy Donaldson of Garrettsville; great-nieces, April LeMaster, Ashley and Melanie Marzullo all of Ravenna; foster daughter, Mary Moore of Greenwich, Ohio; several other nieces and nephews in Pennsylvania, Ohio and Georgia; sister-in-laws, Kay Heibert and Jean Lowther both of Sandy Lake and Minnie (Bob) Young of Eightyfour, Pennsylvania and her "Beloved Poodle Penny". She was preceded in death by her husband, William Chester "Chet" Wade in 1991; her sisters, Wilda McGinnis and Mae Donaldson; brothers, Jack, Billy B., Robert, Franklin and William Kerr and her nephew, Sam Kerr. A memorial visitation will be Saturday, June 20, 2009 from 1:00 P.M.-2:00 P.M. at the Windham Bible Church where a Memorial Celebration of Her Life Service will begin at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Fred Youngen officiating. Following the service, a luncheon for family and friends will be held at the church. Final resting place for Alice will be at Drakesburg Cemetery in Freedom Township. In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial donations to the church in her name. Arrangements are by the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua.
