Ana Geber's Obituary
NEWBURY Ana Geber, 88 years of age, a resident of Newbury for over 35 years, passed away Monday April 19, 2010 at Northwest Community Medical Center in Arlington Hts., Illinois. Mrs. Geber was born in Yugoslavia on December 16, 1921 the daughter of the late Gura and Petronela Belak. A homemaker, Mrs. Geber was formerly of Cleveland, residing in Newbury for many years, and then moving to Schaumburg, Illinois. She was a former member of St. Margaret's Catholic Church in Cleveland and loved gardening in her spare time. In the 1970's and 1980's, she and her husband operated the first fresh produce market at the former Aurora Farms Market. Survivors include her sons George (Slavica) Geber of Inverness, Illinois and Andy (Elizabeth) Geber of Mantua, 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren and her daughter-in-law Agata Geber of Mantua. She was preceded in death by her husband Istvan Geber, II on November 2, 1997 and her son Istvan "Steve" Geber, III on November 18, 2006. Calling hours will be Friday from 5:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua, where her funeral service will be held Saturday April 24, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. with Rev. Fr. Michael Garvey officiating. Mrs. Geber will be laid to rest at Munn Cemetery in Newbury Township beside her loving husband Istvan Geber, II.
