Andrew Scott Dalton's Obituary
AURORA Senior Airman Andrew Scott Dalton, 21 years of age, lost his life while on active duty on Memorial Day, Monday May 30, 2011. Andrew was born in Ravenna, Ohio on August 8, 1989, the son of Nathan A. and Kim H. (Penney) Dalton. Andrew grew up in the Mantua Township area and attended Crestwood Schools, becoming a resident of Aurora in 2001, and graduating from Aurora High School in 2007. While attending Aurora High School, he was Drum Major with the marching band. Following his enlistment in the Air Force in 2007, he served his country in Iraq. Andrew enjoyed music, working with computers as a hobby, was a cooking enthusiast and loved spending special times with his nephews and nieces. Survivors include his mother Kim (Penney) Dalton of Aurora, his father Nathan Dalton of Knoxville, Tennessee, brothers Eric (Amie) Dalton of Ogden, Utah, Evan (Felicia) Dalton of Italy, Richard Dalton of Nashville, Tennessee, sister Erin (Joe) Kovarik of Medina, Ohio, uncles Matthew (Sue Ann) Penney of Garrettsville, Mark (Susan) Penney of Ravenna, aunts Nancy (Ron) Roharik of Brecksville and Kathy (Tom) Dennison of Bel Air, Maryland, 3 nephews and 2 nieces and many other loving family members in Tennessee. Andrew was preceded in death by his grandmother Nancy M. Penney in 2004 and his grandfather Robert J. Penney in 2007. Calling hours will be Sunday June 5, 2011 from 1:00 P.M.-5:00 P.M. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service, St. Rt. 44 at the corner of Pioneer Trail, Mantua. Full military honors will be held for Andrew at 5:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home provided by United States Air Force Honor Guard Team. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday June 6, 2011 10:00 A.M. at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 8894 St.Rt. 14, Streetsboro, Ohio with Rev. Fr. Pat Ferraro officiating. (EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT THE CHURCH). Andrew will be laid to rest with his grandparents at Westlawn Cemetery in Mantua Township at a private family service.
