Andrew L. Senkowski's Obituary
HIRAM RAPIDSAndrew L. Senkowski, 87 years of age, passed away Monday November 16, 2015 at University Hospital-Geauga Regional Medical Center in Clairdon Township, Ohio. Born on November 28, 1927 in Maple Hts., Ohio, he had resided in the Hiram Rapids area the past 39 years. Employed as a tow motor operator at S.K. Wellman Manufacturing in Bedford, he retired after over 30 years of service. Mr. Senkowski served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He truly enjoyed fishing and hunting, and was a lifetime member of the Chagrin Valley Hunting & Fishing Club. A handyman of many talents, he also enjoyed watching old movies, Polka music and dancing. On March 17, 1972, he married Grace (Miller) Senkowski who survives at their home. Also surviving are his children Wayne (Paula) Singer of Macedonia, Fred (Cathy) Gorba of Caroltown, Pennsylvania, Michael (Brenda Ferro) Jacejko of Daytona, Florida, Sharon (Bruce) Bora of Streetsboro, Beverly (Jacqueline Frank) Senkowski of Fresno, California and Sandy (Bob Nevling) Wagner of Hiram. His brother Richard (Chris) Kainec of Northfield, 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren also survive. He was preceded in death by 1 grandchild. Calling hours will be Thursday November 19, 2015 from 5:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service, 4668 Pioneer Trail at the corner of St.Rt. 44, Mantua, Ohio 44255. Visitation will conclude with Military Honors provided by the U.S. Army Honor Guard Team, assisted by members of Mantua American Legion Post No. 193. Private burial will take place.
