Anne Marie Dowd's Obituary
Anne Marie Dowd, 64, of Mantua, Ohio, passed away on February 11, 2025. She was born on December 24, 1960, in Dubuque, Iowa, to the late Shirley and William Dowd. A loving daughter, sister, mother, and grandmother, Anne’s kindness, creativity, and warmth left a lasting impact on everyone who knew her.
She is survived by her two brothers, Brian Dowd and Michael (Tina) Dowd; her beloved children, Amber (Nick) Scarsella of Scottsdale, Arizona, and James (Michelle) Lancaster of Mantua, Ohio; as well as her ten cherished grandchildren—Kayla, Aubrey, Landon, James Jr., Nikolina, Adriano, Liam, Lucca, Leo, and Violet.
Anne was a woman of immense love and generosity. She had a deep compassion for animals, especially her beloved dog, Benjamin, whom she affectionately called her “bees knees.” She was an extraordinary cook, creating meals that brought family and friends together. Her creativity shone through in her passion for fashion and home décor, and she had a wonderful imagination that added beauty to everything she touched.
Her love and light will remain in our hearts forever.
Family and friends may gather for visitation at Green Funeral Care, 4668 Pioneer Trail, (at the corner of St. Rt. 44), Mantua, Tuesday, February 18, 2025 from 11 am - 1 pm, immediately followed by a funeral service at 1 pm. Burial will follow at Westlawn Cemetery.
