Arlanda C. Barker's Obituary
WINDHAM Arlanda C. Barker, 79 years of age, passed away Monday August 1, 2011 at University Hospitals-Geauga Regional Medical Center in Claridon Township. Born on January 11, 1932 in Emmons, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Gilbert and Sally (Kinkaid) Barker. A longtime resident of Cleveland, she had lived in Windham the past year. Mrs. Barker had been employed at Reilly Tar in Cleveland, retiring after 20 years of service. She enjoyed fishing, camping and her most special times were those spent with her grandchildren who she devoted her life to in so many ways. On February 25, 1950 she married Dennis E. Barker who survives at their home. Also surviving are her daughters Carol Zerimski of Caldwell, Ohio, Connie (Roy) Simcox and Debbie (Ryan) Lee both of Streetsboro, Barbara (Steve) Porinsky of Garfield Hts. and Sandy Veccia of Windham, as well as her grandchildren Len (Rachel), Joe, Jessy, Chuckie, Roy (Gail) and great-grandchildren Lenny, Nate, Meganne, Henry, Bradley, Sara and Nathin. Calling hours will be Thursday from 2:00 P.M.-4:00 P.M. & 6:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua, where her funeral service will be Friday August 5, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Lester McMahan officiating. Final resting place will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery in Twinsburg.
