Arley T. McQuerry's Obituary
WINDHAM Arley T. McQuerry 85 years of age of Windham, became Our Gift to God on Saturday April 18, 2009 at his residence in Windham, where surrounded by his loving family, he joined his wife Bonnie whose passing took place on February 23, 2009. Arley was God's Gift to Us on August 17, 1923 in Mount Nebo, West Virginia the son of the late Archie and Margaret (McClung) McQuerry. Arley grew up in West Virginia and had been a resident of the Windham area the past 35 years. A factory worker and carpenter, he was employed at Flambeau Inc. in Middlefield retiring after 30 years of service. A member of the Baptist faith, he sang in Gospel Musical Groups in West Virginia. He enjoyed doing crafts, puzzles, listening to the birds sing, fishing and the special times he spent with his family. On March 29, 1962 he married Bonnie (Barker) McQuerry who preceded him in death, as did his son Robbie McQuerry in 1982. Survivors include his sons Dale and David McQuerry both of Windham, Jamison (Dawn) McQuerry of Garrettsville, daughters Darla (Jim) Tinker of Snecksville, Pennsylvania and Darlene (Dave) Gehris of Ravenna, his sister Nelma Kratz of West Virginia and 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Also surviving "Taz" and "Sookie" his 4-legged children. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua, where the funeral service will be held Wednesday April 22, 2009 at 11:00 A. M. with Pastor Peter King officiating. Final resting place for Arley will follow at Windham Township Cemetery where pallbearers Dale, David and Jamison McQuerry, Jim Tinker, Dave Gehris, Joshua McQuerry, Samuel McQuerry and Dave McQuerry, Jr. will respectfully place "Daddy" beside his beloved "Bonnie".
