Arthur Glenn Krause's Obituary
AUBURN TWOWNSHIP Arthur "Glenn" Krause, 91 years of age, passed away Sunday April 24, 2016 in Stow, Ohio. Born in Kent, Ohio on August 19, 1924, he was the son of the late August and Edith (Yoder) Krause. Mr. Krause resided in the Geauga County area most of his life, moving to Florida in 2000 where he spent the winter months. He was employed at the Akron Water Works as a stationary engineer, retiring after 31 years of service. Mr. Krause proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy in World War II. His memberships in various organizations included Rockton Masonic Lodge No. 316 F.& A.M., Mantua American Legion Post No. 193, Gold Wing Road Riders, lifetime member of Solon V.F.W., and the Lake Brady Methodist Church. Mr. Krause and his beloved wife Miriam enjoyed square dancing together for many years. On August 10, 1947, he married Miriam A. (Benbow) Krause who preceded him in death on March 5, 2000. Survivors include his children Thomas A. Krause, Barbra (Martin) Flower and Kathleen (Tim Crocker) Imler, all of Kent; brother Kenneth (Fae) Krause of Auburn Township and sister Nancy (Rudy) Gall of Hiram; 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Thursday April 28, 2016 at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service 4668 Pioneer Trail at the corner of St.Rt. 44, Mantua, Ohio 44255 from 5:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M., where Mantua American Legion Post No. 193 will conduct a brief service, following which a. U.S. Navy Honor Guard Team will provide full military honors. Final resting place will be at Munn Cemetery in Newbury.
