CHAGRIN FALLS-MANTUA
Barbara Byler, 71 years of age, passed away Monday, January 17, 2022 at her residence in Mantua where she had resided the past 4 years. Barbara was born on November 24, 1950 at Claridon Twp., Ohio, the daughter of the late Lester and Sylvia (Schmucker) Yoder. She was raised in Middlefield, and had lived in Chagrin Falls from 2001 until moving to Mantua in 2018. For many years, Barbara and her husband Andrew J. Byler were the caretakers of the Ames Family Estate in Hunting Valley. Her interests were many including painting ceramic statues, gardening, roller coasters, zip lining, and all wild rides, yet traveling with her husband, and her 13 grandchildren will always remain the memories she created and loved the most. Barbara was an “Amazing Lady” whose life, and the love she had for all, will never be forgotten. On January 1, 1969, she married her beloved husband Andrew J. “Andy” Byler who survives at home. Also surviving are her devoted children, John (Susan) Byler of Bristolville, Norman (Freida) Byler of Farmville, Virginia, Rachel (Eric) Gartner of Chardon, Kathy (Duane) Mast of Parkman, Cindy (Joel) Gingrich of Stevenville, Montana, and Carol (Matt) Beachy of Hartville, 13 loving grandchildren, and 3 sisters and 3 brothers. A private viewing and service is being held at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua. Final resting place will take place at Westlawn Cemetery, Mantua Twp., Ohio. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations in her name be made to City Mission, 5310 Carnegie Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44103.
