Barbara E. Vodila's Obituary
MANTUA TWP.Barbara E. Vodila, 71 years of age, passed away Tuesday July 19, 2011 at the residence of her daughter in Lake Milton. Barbara was born in Germany on April 21, 1940, the daughter of the late Paul and Ursula ( Halemba ) Pietzonka. A longtime Mantua area resident, she was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, and had been an active member of the Willing Worker's of the Mantua Country Baptist Church. She enjoyed attending craft shows and making crafts. On August 12, 1961, she married John M. Vodila, Sr. who survives at their home. Also surviving are her children John M. (Jenny) Vodila, Jr. of Kent, Sharon (Tom ) Morgan of Newton Falls, Pamela (Tom ) Carver of Lake Milton and Kathleen ( Nick ) Knipper of Mantua, her sister Brigette Stefka of Naples, Florida and 12 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Calling hours will be Thursday from 6:00 P.M.- 8:00 P.M. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua, where prayers will be said Friday at 9:15 A.M. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday July 22, 2011 10:00 A.M. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Mantua with Rev. Michael Garvey officiating. Mrs. Vodila will be laid to rest at Westlawn Cemetery in Mantua Twp.
