Bernice Herman's Obituary
MANTUA Bernice M. Herman, 88 years of age, passed away Tuesday April 14, 2015 in Streetsboro, Ohio. Born in Cleveland, Ohio on April 17, 1926, she was the daughter of the late John and Alvina (Brettin) Vild. Mrs. Herman was a lifetime Mantua area resident and had been employed as a school bus driver for 35 years with the Crestwood School District. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Mantua. While she enjoyed baking, cooking, sewing and caning, Bernice had an unconditional love for animals, especially dogs and cats.Her family will forever cherish the love that she had for them, as well as that which they had for her. On September 9, 1945 she married Eugene J. Herman who preceded her in death on August 23, 2004. Also preceding was her daughter-in-law Tracy Herman and her two brothers Raymond and Elmer Vild. Survivors include her children Lon Herman and Bernagene (George) Heider both of Mantua and Paul (Dana) Herman of Ravenna, granddaughters Kelly, Kimberly, Andrea and Cassidy and great-grandchildren Phoebe, Felicia, Haiden and Zoe. Calling hours will be Sunday April 19, 2015 from 2:00 P.M.-4:00 P.M. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua.A graveside funeral service will be held Monday April 20, 2015, 10:00 A.M. at Westlawn Cemetery in Mantua Township with Pastor David Zachrich officiating.
