Bertha Katherine Moore's Obituary
TROY TWP.-HIRAM Bertha Katherine Moore, 95 years of age, passed away Sunday June 26, 2016 at her residence.
Born in Welshfield Township, Ohio on October 10, 1920, she was the daughter of the late John and Elizabeth (Turk) Warner.A longtime Hiram resident, she had lived in Troy Township since 2006. A member of Christ Lutheran Church in Mantua, she remained a very generous lady to her church throughout her life.
Katherine was an "animal lover" all of her life and her 4-legged child Jimmy survives her as an example of her care for animals. Katherine enjoyed traveling the United States, Asia, Australia and Europe with her late husband Edward W. Moore who preceded her in death on February 21, 2003.
Survivors include her nieces Laurel Columbus, Linda Koerlin and Sonja Portman all of Burton, Ohio, Ina Pavloff of Garrettsville, Gladys Boyk of Troy Township, Ellen Porter of West Farmington and Catherine Rogers of Hudson, Ohio.
Funeral services will be Thursday June 30, 2016, 11:00 A.M. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua with Pastor Douglas Riley officiating. Visitation at the funeral home will be from 10:00 A.M. until service time.
Final resting place will follow at Troy Township, Cemetery.
