Betsy Brodzinski's Obituary
MANTUA Elvena "Betsy" Brodzinski, 78 years of age, passed away Tuesday March 27, 2012 at her residence. Born on May 1, 1933 in Carrollton, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Irvin and Ella (Mick) Arbogast. A homemaker and resident of Portage County the past 60 years, Betsy formerly was employed for 20 years in the housekeeping department of the Treadway Inn of Aurora. Betsy and her late husband Ed enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening together, and she always was a fan of John Wayne "The Duke" watching westerns on TV that he appeared in, and was known to also be an avid shopper. Her family will always remember the love shown for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and the times spent together with them. On June 9, 1955, she married Edmond "Big Ed" Brodzinski who preceded her in death on July 31, 1995. Also preceding her was 1 great-grandchild, 3 sisters and 6 brothers. She is survived by her devoted children Allan (Audrey) Brodzinski of Mantua and Debbie (Tom) Davis of Georgia, her grandchildren Melissa, Kris, Tara and Brittany and great-grandchildren Alicia, Meghan, Noah, Sareh, Destiny and Issac. Calling hours will be Sunday from 2:00 P.M.-5:00 P.M. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua, where her funeral service will be held Monday April 2, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. Final resting place will follow at Westlawn Cemetery in Mantua Township, Ohio.
