Brad Wagner's Obituary
MANTUA John B. "Brad" Wagner, 49 years of age, passed away Saturday March 12, 2011 at his residence. Brad was born on October 3, 1961 in Cleveland, Ohio the son of William and Jean Wagner. A lifetime Mantua area resident, he was a 1980 graduate of Crestwood Schools where he was active with football and track and shot discus, following which he attended Defiance College in Defiance, Ohio. Brad was employed as a fabricator at Marsum Metal in Twinsburg, and formerly had been employed at Wrayco Industries in Stow. Brad was very active within the Crestwood Schools sports teams, having coached baseball, track and shot discus, and was a longtime volunteer cook for the sport teams and as a volunteer for the VFW. For the past 15 years he had operated Brad's Gourmet Catering. In addition to sports and cooking, he enjoyed camping and was a lover of animals, especially "Mr. Nelson" and "Ruby". Survivors include his wife Dona(Davis) Wagner , and his sons William B. and Bryan P. Wagner all at home, his parents Bill and Jean Wagner of Mantua, his sister Dana (Steve) Vanderink of Hiram, his sister-in-laws Darlene Czerny, Denise Powell and Deborah Bremer and his brother-in-law William E. Davis, Jr. Calling hours will be Thursday from 5:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua, where his funeral services will be Friday March 18, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. with Pastor David Gray officiating. Brad will be laid to rest at Hillside Cemetery in Mantua Village.
