My first memories of Candy were in Mrs. Patch's second grade class in Mantua. We also lived in the same neighborhood so we saw each other often out playing and riding the school bus. I remember her sweet smile well from all the years at Crestwood. Recently I got to talk to her via FB messenger and share some memories of early years. She will be missed at our 51st reunion. She was a sincere special lady!
In my 50+ years at KSU, Candy was one of the finest, most helpful, cheerful and brightest to work with -- always willing to help faculty and colleagues. My wife and I are saddened to learn of her death and transition. Our sympathy and condolences for Candy's family and close friends.

I learned this morning at our faculty meeting of Candy's passing. I am so sorry for her family for your loss. Candy was a bright light at the office, always cheerful, always a joy for students, and always willing to help out anyone in need. Everyone whom she had contact with was gifted by her spirit.
I was saddened this week to learn about Candy. Sincere and heartfelt sympathy to your family. I was blessed to work with many fine people at Kent State University and Candy was a good friend throughout my 35 years. She was always smiling and went out of her way to help others in need. I enjoyed rooming with her on our trip to the Bahamas for the School Counselor’s graduation. She loved her family.....and was very proud of Kerri and Shana and her two pharmacists.....and her Grandchildren. She was genuine in all her ways. I have seen her from time to time since retirement at the store and would catch up on her news, but I never knew she was ill. She’s with God her maker and family now. I know she’s still smiling ....that was the Candy I knew.Love and hugs to you her family.
