Carl A. Stutzman's Obituary
AURORA Carl A. Stutzman, 93 years of age, passed away Sunday September 20, 2015 in Aurora, Ohio. Born in Aurora on August 16, 1922, he was the son of the late Abner and Ema (Hostettler)Stutzman. A lifetime resident, and a former member of the Aurora Mennonite Church. Carl was employed as a truck driver for Huth Oil from 1945-1990, as well as being the owner-operator of Meadowview Stables in Aurora from 1958-1995, working with his wife who served as manager. During World War II, he proudly served in the United States Navy as a Naval Aviator where he flew "flying boats", and served in the Pacific until the end of the war. On February 11, 1944, he married Lillian A. Stutzman who preceded him in death on April 3, 2012.Also preceding was his brother Merle Stutzman and sister Mae Durning. Survivors include his son Dennis A. (Pat) Stutzman of Rootstown, brothers Richard Stuzman of Florida, Gordon (Irene) Stutzman of Aurora, Glenn Stutzman of Paris, Tennessee, sister Fae Stutzman of Aurora, and his granddaughters Sandra Robinson and Laura Stutzman, and great-granddaughters Adrianna Stutzman and Sara and Shaina Robinson. Visitation will be Thursday September 24, 2015 from 9:30 A.M.-10:00 A.M. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service, 4668 Pioneer Trail, at the corner of St.Rt. 44, Mantua, Ohio 44255, following which a graveside funeral service will be held at Hillside Cemetery in Mantua Village at 10:30 A.M. Officiating will be Pastor Jody Hill. Full military honors will be provided by the United States Navy Honor Guard Team, assisted by Mantua American Legion Post No. 193.
