Carol A. Cline's Obituary
Carol A. Cline (née Powell), age 72, passed away peacefully on October 7, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.
Carol was the devoted wife of Larry Cline, with whom she shared 44 beautiful years of marriage. Together, they built a life full of love, laughter, and cherished memories. She was a deeply loving mother to Kevin, Jason, and Adam Cline; grandmother to Madilyn and Dominic; the treasured daughter of the late Elmer and Coletta Powell; and the dear sister of the late Robert Powell.
Carol was a 1971 graduate of Crestwood High School in Mantua, Ohio. She later spent many years serving as a secretary at Akron Children’s Hospital, where she was known for her gentle heart, warm smile, and unwavering dedication. She touched many lives with her kindness and quiet strength.
At home, Carol found joy in the simple things — crocheting lovingly made blankets, crafting festive door wreaths, and preparing home-cooked meals that brought everyone together. Her kitchen was often filled with the comforting aroma of her favorite dishes, and her home with the laughter of loved ones.
She especially adored the holidays, when she could gather her family around the table, share stories, and make everyone feel welcome with her generous spirit. Carol also loved her peaceful getaways to Florida, but her greatest happiness came from the love she shared with her husband, sons, and grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The ALS Association at https://www.als.org.
A celebration of Carol’s life will be held at a later date. Her gentle soul, creative heart, and boundless love will be dearly missed and forever remembered by all who were blessed to know her.
