Carrie June Foster's Obituary
MANTUA Carrie June Foster, 95 years of age, passed away Saturday May 21, 2016 at her residence in Mantua. Born in Cleveland, Ohio on June 21, 1920, she was the daughter of Herman and Helen (Stocksdale) Albers.A lifetime Mantua area resident, Mrs. Foster was a graduate of the Mantua Center High School. She was a member of Hilltop Christian Church and attended Mantua Center Christian Church. Her early life included being employed in downtown Cleveland at Higbee's, where she took the train daily from Mantua to Cleveland. Music was a major part of her life that included tap dancing and singing live on radio, and performing on stage with Bob Hope. Cooking, gardening, watching the hummingbirds and making riding outfits for her daughter Kathy were a few of her many talents as a homemaker, mother and a devoted wife. Cherished memories of Mrs. Foster will forever also include her warm and sincere smile that was truly a part of knowing her. On November 6, 1945, she married the love of her life George H. Foster who preceded her in death on October 5, 2011. Survivors include her daughters Kathy (Buster) Harris of Springfield Township and Bonnie Foster of Mantua, and her 3 loving granddogs and 4 grandcats. Calling hours will be Wednesday May 25, 2016 from 6:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service, 4668 Pioneer Trail at the corner of St.Rt. 44, Mantua, Ohio 44255. Graveside Funeral Services will be held Thursday May 26, 2016, 10:00 A.M. at Westlawn Cemetery, Mantua Township, Ohio.
