Carroll "Leigh" Kraft's Obituary
GARRETTSVILLE Leigh Kraft, 66 years of age, passed away Sunday June 5, 2016 in Aurora, Ohio. Leigh was born on August 1, 1949 in Warren, Ohio the daughter of the late Kenneth and Virginia (Cook) Shale. A lifetime resident of Garrettsville, Leigh was the owner-operator of Silver Crik Saloon in Garrettsville for over 30 years. She enjoyed bowling, fly fishing, cooking at the bar and catering and was a member of Garrettsville Order of the Eastern Star. Over the many years that she operated the Crik, Leigh made herself available to assist others when fund raising events were needed, providing a location and doing the cooking. She will always be remembered as a helping hand to so many in difficult times. Survivors include her son Brett (Julie) Kraft of Hartville, Ohio; brother Kenneth "K.C." Shale of Garrettsville; grandchildren Ethan and Aidan Kraft, and her Dash-Hound child "Hank". Calling hours will be Wednesday from 6:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service, 4668 Pioneer Trail at the corner of St. Rt. 44, Mantua, Ohio 44255 where her funeral service will be held Thursday June 9, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. Final resting place will follow at Park Cemetery in Garrettsville. Immediately following the burial, all are invited to her "Wake" at the Silver Crik.
