Cathy Frances' Obituary
Catherine Ann Frances, 61, of Shalersville, OH, passed away on February 4.
Cathy, daughter of Adam and Anna Wetshtein, was born in Shalersville where she grew up and attended Crestwood High School. She went on to study Early Childhood Education at Kent State University. Cathy was a lifelong teacher, having taught at Little Tikes Child Care, and most recently at Maplewood Career Center where she loved working with preschoolers, sharing that passion with her high school students.
It was at Crestwood where Cathy first met David. After asking David to sit with her at lunch on the first day of their junior year, the rest is history. Cathy and David married in June of 1990 and soon after began building their family. Cathy and David have two children Nathan and Leannah, which they endlessly shower with love and unwavering support.
Cathy loved everyone as her family and never let anyone feel left out, but is most immediately survived by her loving husband David, children Nathan (Jill) and Leannah (Mohid), her mother, Anna, her brother Mike (Patti), and nephew Troy. She is preceded in death by her father, Adam.
Visitation is Sunday, February 11 at Green Funeral Care, 4668 Pioneer Trail (at the corner of St. Rt. 44) in Mantua from 2pm-5pm. Funeral Mass to be held Monday, February 12 at St. Joseph Church in Mantua at 11am (PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH), followed by interment at Hillside Cemetery, Shalersville.
Donations to the Sea Turtle Program (Sanibel-Captiva Conservation Foundation) in her name would be especially meaningful. https://sccf.org/what-we-do/protect-wildlife/sea-turtle-program/
