Cecelia "Cindy" Berg's Obituary
HIRAM TOWNSHIPCecelia "Cindy" Berg, 57 years of age, passed away Friday July 29, 2011 at Robinson Memorial Hospital in Ravenna, Ohio. Born on July 23, 1954 in Cleveland, Ohio, she was the daughter of Herbert and Lillian (Darginski) Gieseler, Sr. Formerly of Hudson, Cindy was a resident of Hiram the past 10 years. She was employed the past 15 years at Swagelok in Solon as a computer system management specialist. An extremely independent individual, combined with a strong work ethic, Cindy became a computer wizard all of her life using her talents not only at her place of employment, but also to assist family and friends in any way possible. Cindy leaves not only a legacy of personal skills, but most importantly her devotion to family. She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Aurora, Ohio. Cindy was preceded in death by her father Herbert Gieseler, Sr. in 2000 and her brother Fred in 1991. Survivors include her mother Lillian Gieseler of Hiram, sister JoAnn (Ron) Overberger of Mantua, brother Herbert (Marie) Gieseler, Jr. of Aurora, sister-in-law Lisa Gieseler of Akron, and nephew David and nieces Laura, Bobbi, Erin and Rebecca. No calling hours. Cremation has taken place with a private family interment. A Memorial Mass will be held Tuesday August 9, 2011 7:00 P.M. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Aurora with Rev. Fr. James Daprile officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to the Cindy Berg account at Chase Bank, Mantua branch only. Arrangements are by the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua.
