Charles J. Fritz's Obituary
BURTONCharles J. Fritz, 79 years of age, passed away Thursday October 30, 2014 at University Hospital, Geauga Regional Medical Center in Clairdon Township, Ohio. Born in Cleveland, Ohio on August 26, 1935, he was the son of the late Julius and Lillian (Hrubec) Fritz. A resident of Burton the past 20 years, Mr. Fritz was formerly employed as a Deputy Sheriff for the Geauga County Sheriff's Department and as a police officer with the Chagrin Falls Police Department. He then was employed at Dunbar Armored Services for 20 years from where he retired. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict. Mr., Fritz was an avid hunter and fisherman and competed in Trap and Skeet Shooting at A.&A. Shooting in Parkman. Survivors include his children Jason Fritz of Burton, Craig (Lisa) Fritz of Brook Park and Tamra (Brad Wilson) Sizemore of Mantua, and his grandchildren Daniel, Christopher, Holly and Cary. He was preceded in death by his son Christopher J. Fritz. No calling hours. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be announced at a later date. Arrangements are by the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua.Memorial visitationwill be held Saturday November 15, 2014 from 2:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. at the NewburyUnited Community Church on Auburn Rd.
