Charles E. Moats' Obituary
HIRAM RAPIDS Charles E. "Chuck "Moats, 46 years of age, passed away Tuesday October 21, 2014. Born in Greenville, Pennsylvania on February 26, 1968, he was the son of Ralph and Helen (Shannon) Moats. Formerly of Ravenna, he had resided in Hiram Rapids the past 3 years. Chuck was a graduate of Crestwood School System and had been employed as a laborer in the automotive industry. Chuck enjoyed fishing, playing the guitar, working on cars and taking care of his parents, and loved spending time with the love of his life Karleen and their son Bryce. Survivors include his parents Ralph and Helen Moats of Hiram rapids, his daughter Brooke Shaw, son Bryce Moats of Ravenna, brother Mike (Stephanie Fletcher) Moats of Hiram, his long time love Karleen Nelson of Kent, nieces Becky Diaz of Chesterland, Brenna Milano of Garrettsville and Jessica Kaiser of Virginia, aunts Martha and Dorothy Shannon and Mary Hoover all of Pennsylvania and 1 grandchild. Chuck was preceded in death by his brother Ralph "Sonny" Moats, Jr. and several other loving family members. Calling hours will be Saturday October 25, 2014 from 2:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua. Funeral services will be held Sunday October 26, 2014 in The Chapel of Park Lawn Cemetery in Jamestown, Pennsylvania at 11:00 a.m. with final resting place to follow at the cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice.
