Christopher Macaluso's Obituary
HIRAM Christopher L. Macaluso, 26 years of age, passed away Sunday June 17, 2012 at University Hospitals-Geauga Regional Medical Center in Claridon Township, Ohio. Born on August 6, 1985 in Claridon Township, Ohio, he was the son of James and Cynthia A. (Hill) Macaluso. Chris grew up in Portage County and was a 2004 graduate of Crestwood Schools. Formerly of Hiram, he had resided in Auburn Township the past year, prior to which he lived in Columbus. While in high school, he played football and track, and could easily be described as a scholastic athlete. He also was very involved with the TV Media at Crestwood. Following high school, Chris attended Ohio State University where he was a proud and active member of Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity. Chris will always be remembered for his love of family that included making and fixing anything for them, especially his loving daughter Isabella. He presently was working side-by-side with his father in the operation of D. Cohen & Sons in Cleveland. On July 10, 2010, he married Megan (Wyeth) Macaluso who survives at their residence with his daughter Isabella, his father James "Mac" (Julie) Macaluso of Auburn Township and his mother Cindy (Pat Wilson) Macaluso of Hiram, brothers Brennan at home and Jimmy (Jayme) Macaluso of Marion, Ohio, his grandmother Betty Eberly of Norwalk, Ohio and many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Anne Marie and Robert C. Macaluso in 2002 and William Hill. Calling hours will be Friday from 6:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service, State Route 44 at the corner of Pioneer Trail (S. of Rt. 422 and N. of Ohio Turnpike Exit No. 193) Mantua. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday June 23, 2012 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Mantua at 11:00 A.M. with Rev.Fr. Jay McPhillips of the Church of St. Helen in Newbury, Ohio officiating. (EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT THE CHURCH). Final resting place will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Hiram. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to a college fund for Isabelle at any PNC Bank.
