Claire "Fae" Krause's Obituary
Claire "Fae" Krause, age 92, of Auburn Township, passed away peacefully on September 10, 2025.
Claire was the beloved wife of the late Kenneth R. Krause Sr., with whom she shared a devoted marriage beginning on May 10, 1952. Together, they built a beautiful life and family. She was a loving mother to Kenneth (Renae) Krause Jr of Mantua, Daniel (Sheree) Krause of Auburn and Diane (Mike) Schneider of Mantua. She was also the cherished sister of the late Ione Rae Button-Cavanagh.
A proud grandmother of six, great-grandmother of fourteen, and great-great-grandmother of two, Claire's family was the light of her life. She especially adored her grandchildren and treasured every moment spent with them.
A lifelong resident of Auburn Township, Claire graduated from Mentor High School in 1951. She dedicated 26 years of service to Kenston High School, working as a secretary, in the transportation department, and as a beloved school bus driver. After retiring, Claire enjoyed traveling the roads with her husband Ken while working together for Manfredi Trucking. They spent many joyful winters in Florida, sharing adventures and sunshine.
Claire had a passion for sewing, canning, camping, and traveling. She fondly remembered summers spent on her grandfather's farm, helping with chores and caring for the horses. Her warmth, kindness, and deep love for family and community touched all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Hospice of the Western Reserve, 17876 St. Clair Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44110-2602.
Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on Friday, September 19, 2025, from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at Green Funeral Care, 4668 Pioneer Trail, Mantua, Ohio, with a memorial service immediately following at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place at Maple Shade Cemetery, 11010 E Washington St, Auburn Township, 44023.
