Clarence "Babe" Genske's Obituary
MANTUAClarence S."Babe" Genske, 85 years of age, passed awayTuesday August 2,2011 at his home in Mantua, Ohio. Born on February 26, 1926 in Novelty, Ohio, he was the son of the late Charles and Maude (Kruse) Genske.A longtime resident of Geauga County, he had resided in the Mantua area the past 25 years. Mr. Genske was employed as a cableman for Ohio Bell Telephone company from where he retired. An avid hunter and fisherman, Mr. Genske was always available to give a hand to anyone in need. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II. Clarence was the best grandpa ever to his six grandsons and the best pal to seven great-grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all who came to know him. On September 4, 1948, he married Betty "Jean" (Crotty) Genske who survives at their home.Clarence was the number one dad to Karen Genske of Mantua, Sharon (Pete) Talion of Troy Township and Janice (Mark) Taylor of North Bloomfield. He is also survived by two brothers Ralph Genske of Novelty and Art Genske of Stow, and his sister Ruth Frank of Chagrin Falls. He was preceded in death by his brothers Harry, Earl and Charles Genske. Per his request, there will be no calling hours or memorial service. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to his family who will then donate them directly to the Ohio Division of Wildlife Hunter Education. Cremation has taken place.
