Clarence E. Harrison's Obituary
MANTUA Clarence E. Harrison, 79 years of age, became Our Gift to God on Thursday July 18, 2013 at Robinson Memorial Hospital in Ravenna, Ohio. Clarence was God's Gift to Us on June 6, 1934 in Frametown, West Virginia. A resident of the Mantua area since 1961, he had been employed as a tool & die maker at Chrysler Stamping Plant in Twinsburg, retiring after 30 years of service. A former member and treasurer at Crossroads Church in Shalersville, he presently was a member and deacon at the Windham Bible Church. While he enjoyed fishing and hunting, Clarence was a dedicated gentleman to his wife, children and grandchildren, with family always being a priority. On June 29, 1958, he married Lucy J. (Vance) Harrison, with whom they just celebrated 55 years of cherished marriage. In addition to being survived by his devoted wife, his three beloved daughters Pamela (Stanley) Foster of Hiram, Terri Harrison of Ravenna and Kelly (John) Varga of Freedom, his brother Gary (Patricia) Given of Virginia, sister Jean (Robert) Moore of Frametown, West Virginia, 5 loving grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren also survive. He was preceded in death by his sister Sharon Nettles. Calling hours will be Sunday from 2:00 P.M.-4:00 P.M. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua, where his funeral service will be held Monday July 22, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Fred Youngen officiating. Final resting place will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Mantua Village.
