Conrad J. Fox's Obituary
Conrad J. Fox, 81 years of Aurora, passed away Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at his residence with his devoted family by his side. Born in Cleveland, Ohio on August 13, 1931, he was the son of the late Conrad M. and Helen (Ogurchak) Fox. Formerly of Chesterland, Mr. Fox had been a resident of Aurora since 1997, and was a member of Our Lady Of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Aurora. Mr. Fox had been employed as a lineman at the former Ohio Bell Telephone Company, following which he was employed at AT&T in management until his retirement in 1989. He then was the owner-operator of Becon Truck Service in Walton Hills. Mr. Fox was a licensed pilot, operating out of the Portage County Airport. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and held membership in the V.F.W. On July 25, 1953, he married Dolores M. (LaPorta) Fox who preceded him in death in 2008. Also preceding him was his daughter Cynthia Hayes and two sisters Joann Smisek and Delores Wenrich. Mr. Fox is survived by his son Conrad (Debby) Fox of Madison, Ohio, daughters Mary Ranallo of Aurora, Renee Fox of Westlake and Marquerite (John) Thomas of Cincinnati, his brother Charles (Noreen) Fox of Cleveland Hts., 11 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild, as well as several loving nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Thursday from 5:00 P.M.-9:00 P.M. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service, St.Rt. 44 at the corner of Pioneer Trail (S. of Rt. 422) Mantua, where military honors will be presented at 8:30 P.M. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday September 14, 2012 at Our Lady Of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 342 S. Chillicothe Rd.,Aurora at 10:00 A.M. with Rev. James M. Daprile, Ph.D Pastor officiating. (EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT THE CHURCH). Final resting place will be at Edinburg Cemetery.
