Curtis L. Welcome, 72 years of age, passed away Sunday January 12, 2020 at UH-Portage Medical Center in Ravenna, Ohio. Born in Cleveland, Ohio on March 25, 1947, he was the son of the late Earl B. and Norma B. (Marten) Welcome, Jr. A lifetime resident of Windham, Mr. Welcome was a member of the Windham American Legion. He had been employed as a roofer for Roth Bros. Roofing for many years. He was a veteran of the Vietnam Era serving in the U.S. Air Force. Mr. Welcome loved most types of music, and will be remembered for the times he spent with family and friends. On August 27, 1971, he married Christine (Cosko) Welcome who survives at home. Also surviving is his son Michael of Windham and daughter Laura (Christopher) Walker of North Carolina; his siblings Thomas of Warren, Ronald of Windham, Elaine (Thomas) McCleary of Cortland and Carol Murphy of Windham, and 5 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brothers Earl and Michael. No calling hours or services. Cremation has been held. Final resting place will follow at Windham Township Cemetery.
