Cynthia "Cindi" Kaluba's Obituary
MANTUA / WILLOWICK Cynthia A. "Cindi" Kaluba, 52 years of age, became Our Gift to God on Sunday October 17, 2010 at the Hospice of Western Reserve in Cleveland, Ohio, surrounded by her loving family. "Cindi" was God's Gift to Us on October 12, 1958 in Nurenberg, Germany, the daughter of Raymond and Louise (Boden) Kaluba. "Cindi" grew up in Willowick and was a 1976 graduate of Eastlake North High School, following which she attended Duquesne University and graduated in 1980 with her BA in Nursing Science. A registered nurse, she had resided in Minnesota for 10 years, moving to Mantua the past year where she resided with her sister and brother-in-law Judith and David Hadzinsky. "Cindi" fought a determined battle the past year with cancer, and will always be remembered for never giving in to her illness up until the time of her passing, which should be an inspiration to those family and friends she has left to cherish her memory. An avid reader, she enjoyed and was talented with making quilts and knitting, as well as a lover of music and history. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Mantua. "Cindi" is survived by her loving children Keenan L. Rogers and Rachele L. Rogers, both proudly serving in the U.S. Navy and Nathan T. Rogers of Minnesota; her beloved parents Raymond and Louise Kaluba of Willowick; her dear brother Thomas R. Kaluba of Cincinnati and dear sisters Catherine "Cat"(Dennis) Atkins of Chillicothe and Judith (David) HADZINSKY of Mantua. She was preceded in death by her sister Mary Michelle "Micki" Kaluba. Calling hours will be Thursday from 6:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua, where prayers will be said Friday at 10:15 A.M. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday October 22, 2010 11:00 A.M. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Michael Garvey officiating. "Cindi" will be laid to rest at Westlawn Cemetery in Mantua Township, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Hospice of Western Reserve, 300 East 185th.St. Cleveland, Ohio 44119.
