Dale Bailey, Sr's Obituary
MANTUADale E. Bailey, Sr., 74 years of age, passed away Friday November 5, 2010 at his residence. Dale was born in Troy Township, Ohio on December 15, 1935, the son of the late Homer E. and Georgine (Klein) Bailey, Sr. A lifetime resident of the Hiram and Mantua areas, he had been employed as a layout and stripper at Print Shops in Aurora and Solon. He was a U.S. Army Veteran having served with the 101st. Airborne Division. Dale had a passion for walleye fishing , deer and turkey hunting and truly loved the great outdoors. He was a member of the National Wild Turkey Federation, Mantua Masonic Lodge No. 533 F.&A.M. and was a former longtime member of the Mantua-Shalersville Volunteer Fire Department. On May 4, 1957, he married Lynne L. (Lambert) Bailey who survives at their home. Also surviving is his son Dale E. (Karen) Bailey, Jr. of Garrettsville and daughter Deidra (Pat) Toler of Canal Winchester, Ohio; brothers Freeman Bailey and Clyde ( Donna ) Bailey both of Mantua; sisters Grace Eggleston of West Farmington and Jeanne ( Wilbur) Valot of Newton Falls and his three grandchildren Chelsea, Taylor and Hannah who he dearly loved to spend special times with. He was preceded in death by his brothers Homer,Jr.,Charles and Marvin Bailey and sisters Alma Dyson, Eleanor McAnich and Pearl Bartholomew. At his request, no calling hours or services will be held. Dale will be laid to rest at Hillside Cemetery in Mantua Village at a private service. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Mantua-Shalersville Fire Department or the Visiting Nurse & Hospice of Robinson Memorial Hospital.Arrangements are by the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua.
