David Marecak's Obituary
David Marecak, 85 years of age, passed away Monday June 1, 2015 in Aurora, Ohio. Born in Chicago, Illinois on February 14, 1930, he was the son of the late Henry and Edna (Carlson) Marecak. A former longtime resident of Maple Hts. and Parma, Mr. Marecak had been employed at General Motors Terex in Hudson as a draftsman, retiring after 30 years of service. During the Korean Conflict, he proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force. Mr. Marecak held a strong interest in the study of World War II, and also was an avid collector of model trains, planes and cars. On September 30, 1956, he married Teresa (Paradise) Marecak who preceded him in death in 1991. Survivors include his daughter Michele (Michael) Elias of Garrettsville, his sister Barbara Bateman of Arkansas and many other loving nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Sunday June 7, 2015 from 2:00 P.M.-4:00 P.M. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service, 4668 Pioneer Trail at the corner of St. Rt. 44, Mantua, Ohio 44255, where his funeral service will begin at 4:00 P.M. Officiating will be Pastor Rick Hughes. Air Force Military Honors will be provided by the U.S. Air Force Honor Guard Team. Final resting place will be at All Souls Cemetery, Chardon, Ohio.
