David C Wyers, Jr's Obituary
STREETSBORODavid Clyde Wyers, Jr., 66 years of age, became Our Gift to God on Thursday March 24, 2011 at Robinson Memorial Hospital in Ravenna, Ohio, joining his mother Anna Virginia Wyers in heaven. David was God's Gift to Us on December 15, 1944 in Parkersburg, West Virginia, the son of David C. and Anna V. (Rhodes) Wyers, Sr. David was a longtime Ravenna area resident, living in Streetsboro the past 9 years. Dave was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Viet Nam Era, serving two tours of duty and was a Green Burette while faithfully serving his country. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of Streetsboro, Ohio. A self employed truck driver, he retired after 42 years of service. Dave enjoyed fishing, camping, his motorcycle and his five grandchildren. On August 28, 1998, he married his beloved wife Debra "Sue" (Willoughby) Wyers who survives at their home. Also surviving are his daughters Brandi Wyers and Roxann Holcomb both of Streetsboro, Melissa Wyers of Deerfield and Jamie Wyers of Warren, his son David Michael Wyers of Girard, his father David C. Wyers, Sr. of Ravenna, his brother Bill (Padge) Wyers of Nevada, sisters Nancy (Ken) Bergman of Alaska, Joyce(Johny)Angle of Ravenna and Lori(Mike) Johnstone of the State of Washington, granddaughters Autumn and Summer Steere and Deja Owen, grandsons Tyler Wyers and Brendan Spuhler, his in-laws Joe and Jan Willoughby and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Monday March 28, 2011 from 5:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua, where his funeral service will begin at 7:00 P.M. with Pastor Johny Angle officiating. Military honors will be provided by a U.S. Army Honor Guard Team and assisted by members of American Legion Post No. 193 of Mantua. Cremation will follow.
