GARRETTSVILLE
Debra Lou Garrett, 65 years of age, passed away Saturday March 21, 2020 at University Hospital- Portage Medical Center in Ravenna, Ohio. Born in Bergholz, Ohio on July 3, 1954, she was the daughter of Robert and Lorraine (Wilson) Moore. A resident of Garrettsville for over 50 years, Debbie was a 1975 graduate of James A. Garfield High School. She then was employed by James A. Garfield School System from 1981 until her retirement in 1998. She loved cooking, caning, and her cinnamon rolls were more than incredible. Debbie will forever be remembered as a lady with the warmest heart, and her personality and smile could light up any room. She loved all of her family, her grandchildren being the ultimate of joy to each and every day. On November 13, 1980, Debbie married her beloved husband Roy K. Garrett who survives at their home. Also surviving are her devoted daughters Amy (Jonathan) Zepp of Freedom Township and Kara (Nicholas) DePasquale of Seven Hills; her loving father Robert Moore of Sherve, Ohio; dear siblings Jeff Moore, Keith Moore, Theresa Moore and Vickie Spainhour and cherished grandchildren T.J., Tyler, Garrett and Kaden. She was preceded in death by her loving mother Lorraine Moore. No calling hours or services. Cremation has taken place.
