I met Denise on our first day of 10th grade in 1980. We sat at the same table in Home Ec. She became my adopted sister. I had never had a friend like Denise before. We practically lived at each other's houses. We did everything together. Her entire family kind of adopted me. Over the years we've kept in touch and I love her dearly. She was a much stronger, nicer person than me and I always felt both privileged and lucky to be her friend. She was the most incredible person with the absolute best heart. The best mom, sister, friend anyone could ever have. She was an amazing wife to Dale. There's so much more I wish I could put into words...but I'm just so sad. I know she's no longer in pain, and she's with Dale again but so many of us will miss her presence, her smile, her laughter, her advice, her love.
No one who knew her will ever forget her. Denise brought love everywhere she went. Condolences to her beautiful family.
