Dennis G. Babareka, 64 years of age, of Mantua, passed away Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at University Hospital- Potage Medical Center in Ravenna. Dennis was born February 15, 1958 in Warrensville Hts. Ohio, the son of George and Dolores (Dawson) Babareka. He was a graduate of Crestwood High School, and had attended Hiram College. Dennis had been employed at Swagelok for his entire career,from where he then retired. An avid runner, including being a Marathon runner, he also enjoyed racquetball, and was active with the Solon Players. Dennis will be remembered as a very kind and caring gentleman, and as one whose generosity saw no limits. In keeping with his generosity, he bequeathed significant donations to the Hattie Larlham Foundation, Portage Park District, Cleveland Museum of Art, and The Nature Conservancy. He will truly be missed by family and friends. Survivors include his mother Dolores McPherson, of Aurora; his sister Sue (Bill) Kruis, and his niece Cristy (Denney) Sherman both of Mantua, his great-nephew Alex (Paige) and great-nieces Samantha and Ashley. Preceding him in death was his father George Babareka, and his sister Kathy Babareka. Calling hours will be Monday, October 3, 2022 at The Green Family Funeral Home and Crematory Service, 4668 Pioneer Trail at the corner of St.Rt.44, Mantua, Ohio 44255 from 10:00 A.M. – 11:00 A.M., where his funeral service will then begin at 11:00 A.M. Officiating will be Pastor John Angle. Final resting place will follow at Westlawn Cemetery Mantua Township Ohio.
