Dennis Dean Woods, 66 years of age, passed away Wednesday, April 28, 2021 after a short battle with cancer. Born on March 27, 1955 in Akron, Ohio, he was the son of the late Homer and Esther (Carlson) Woods. He proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps as a demolition expert. Dennis was a dedicated employee of the Ohio Turnpike Commission for 33 years. When he wasn’t working, he loved his baseball games, and was the biggest Yankees fan. When not watching baseball, Dennis loved spending time with his wife, grandchildren, and his father-in-law. He is survived by his beloved wife Carla, three sisters, children, step-children, grandchildren, and many friends. Known for his calm disposition, kindness, and generosity, Dennis will forever be dearly missed by those he loved, and those who loved him. No calling hours. A graveside funeral service will be held Tuesday May 4, 2021, 11:00 A.M. at Hillside Cemetery, West Prospect Street, Mantua Village, Ohio. (Facial Coverings Will Be Observed).
