Densyl "Pugs" Nottingham's Obituary
GARRETTSVILLE Densyl R. " Pugs " Nottingham, 53 years of age, became Our Gift to God on Saturday September 4, 2010 at Robinson Memorial Hospital in Ravenna, Ohio. Densyl was God's Gift to Us on June 13, 1957 in Ravenna, the son of Charley and Barbara Jean (Dye) Nottingham. A lifetime Garrettsville area resident, he was a graduate of James A. Garfield High School. He was an active member of 1st Assembly of Pentecost Church in Braceville. Densyl was employed the past 4 years at Oliver Steel in Twinsburg in the shipping department as a loader, and formerly worked for 16 years at Alloy Extrusion in Brimfield as a supervisor. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing his guitar, 4-wheelers, gardening, yet " Pugs " will always be remembered for his love of family, the cookouts he mastered and his smile and the smiles that he brought to the faces of family and friends. Survivors include his father Charley Nottingham of West Virginia; brothers Ferrell (Leslie) Nottingham of Southington and Russ (Jeri) Nottingham of Garrettsville; sisters Sheila Hose of Florida, Linda (Greg) Bowser of Ravenna and Lisa (Joe) Davenport of West Virginia, as well as many nieces, nephews and other loving family members. He was preceded in death by his mother Barbara Jean Nottingham on October 20, 2004. Calling hours will be Tuesday (TODAY) from 6:00 P.M.-8:00 P. M. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua, where his funeral service will be Wednesday September 8, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor William McCartney officiating. Densyl will then be laid to rest at Harrington Cemetery in Nelson Township with Rusty Nottingham, Michael Nottingham, Adam Nottingham, Jason Davenport, Chris Davenport, Doug Sirk, Alex Tingler and Ken Falkenberg respectively acting as pallbearers.
