GARRETTSVILLE
Dianne M. King, 83 years of age, passed away Tuesday August 24, 2021 at UH-Portage Medical Center in Ravenna, Ohio. Born in Spokane, Washington on January 1, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Gale and Virginia (Todd) Osborn. A Garrettsville resident, Mrs. King had been employed as a switchboard operator and office manager during her life, including working for ABC at the time of Lawrence Welk’s TV show. While Dianne enjoyed making Christmas and Birthday cards for family and friends and crocheting, she will be remembered for her love of cooking, including doing “wonders with any meats” she prepared. On April 1, 1967, Dianne married Howard M. King who survives at their home. Also surviving are her children Don McArthur and Tod McArthur both of Washington State, Chris McArthur of Montana, her niece Sonya (Frank) Mezatasta, nephew Erik (Tonja) Adams, and her sister-in-law, Arlene Adams, all of Garrettsville. She was preceded in death by her son Jeff McArthur, and brother Don Osborn. No calling hours or services. Final resting place at Park Cemetery in Garrettsville will be private.
