Donald T. “Ozzie” Kalcic, 38 years of age, passed away Tuesday August 3, 2021 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren, Ohio. Born on September 19, 1982 in Bedford, Ohio, he was the son of Kathleen Kalcic, and Donald Pettit. A resident of Cortland the past ten years, he had formerly resided in Hiram Rapids, and Mantua most of his life, and was a 2002 graduate of Crestwood High School. Donald had been employed as a chef and bartender at Bronzewood Golf Course in Kinsman, as well as having been employed at Walmart in Bainbridge, and in Garrettsville. “Ozzie” had a heart of gold, Christmas being one of his favorite holidays when he could show his love for family with gifts, never forgetting anyone. He always wanted to take care of “Everyone”, and had a smile as large as his heart. He will forever be remembered as the best son, brother, uncle, and “Father to All” as he assumed the role of dad to so many. Survivors include his mother Kathleen “Rosie” (Clifton McNeely) Kalcic of Cortland, his father Donald (Libby Zigler) Pettit of Windham, sister Tiffany Kalcic of Hiram Rapids, brothers Stephen (Alice) Kalcic of Ravenna, and Matthew (Amber Hornick) Kalcic, of Stow, uncles Gerald Kalcic of Hiram Rapids, Thomas Kalcic of Cortland, Michael Kalcic of Deerfield, and James Kalcic of Arizona.He was uncle to Dylan Lamphear, Summer Lamphear, Hannah Boles, and Matthew Kalcic, Jr. No calling hours. A graveside funeral service will be Tuesday August 10, 2021, 11:00 A.M. at Westlawn Cemetery, Rt. 82, Mantua Township, Ohio.
