Donna Jean Kielbowick's Obituary
Donna Jean (Bickford) Kielbowick, passed away peacefully on April 28th, 2025. Born October 20th, 1938 to Bertha (Wisnieski) and Russell Bickford in Flinton, PA, Donna lived a life full of love, determination and adventure.
As her mother passed at a young age, Donna learned to navigate the world with the guidance of her dad and brothers; shooting, hunting, fishing and nearly failing cooking class in school.
Donna went on to marry Vincent Kielbowick in 1961 with whom she shared 7 children, raising them on her own after his death in 1973. Donna shared her love of fishing, gardening, crocheting, baseball and polka with all those she met. She had a special twinkle in her eyes, especially when trying not to stay out of trouble, loved a good riddle, made world renowned potato salad and cookies, and always offered her honest advise, sometimes unsolicied. Her wit, smile and spice will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Donna is preceded in death by her parents, brother Bob (Elenor surviving), daughter Rita Johnson (Gary surviving), son Russell Kielbowick, granddaughter Heather Johnson and great grandson Tyler Johnson. She is survived by her brothers, Paul (Betty) and Roger (Carol), sister Barbara (Herb), and daughters Kathy (Bob) Baker, Mary (Mark) Horner, Carol Helming, Barbara (Dana) Knopf and Franciene Thompson. She also leaves behind a legacy of 14 grandchildren; Tracy, Angela, Adam, Wayne, Stone, Melisa, Megan, Carl, Jacob, Jordan, Emma, Vincent, Joshua and Matthew, as well as great grandchildren: Brooklyn, Travis, Bryson, Brad, Hayley, Jasmine, Joseph, Noah, S.J., Charlotte, Addison, Iyla and Damon.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, May 24, 2025 at Mantua Village Park 4808 East High St Mantua, from 2-6 pm.
