RAVENNA
Doris J. Shanholtzer, 88 years of age of Ravenna, passed away Friday, October 7, 2022. Born in Salem, West Virginia on February 15, 1934, Doris was the daughter of the late Elton and Edna (Marvin) Maxson. Doris and her late husband, Eugene, spent many years traveling the United States and visiting their children and grandchildren every summer and spent their winters in Florida before settling in Ravenna in 2005. Doris enjoyed line dancing, golfing, crafting, and will be remembered for her unique sense of humor. Cherished memories of a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother will forever remain in the hearts of her family. Doris is survived by her children Phillip (Nancy) Shanholtzer and Sharon (Michael Ramsden) Shanholtzer, both of Maine, and Pamela (Dan Gall) Crutchfield of Mantua; her siblings Clyde Maxson of Florida, Dewayne Maxson, Ronnie Maxson, and Patricia Wolfgang, all of Pennsylvania, and Barbara Bryant of Virginia. Four Grandchildren, 8 Great-grandchilden, and her four legged Grandchild "Rocky,” also survive. Doris was preceded in death by her husband Eugene in 2014, her son Michael Shanholtzer, her brother Jesse Maxson, 2 Great-grandchildren, and her son-in-law Kelly Crutchfield. A memorial visitation to Celebrate her Life will be held Saturday, October 15, 2022 from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. at Green Family Funeral Home and Crematory Service, 4668 Pioneer Trail at the corner of St. Rt. 44, Mantua, Ohio, 44255.
