Dorothy R. Hucik's Obituary
MANTUA TWP.Dorothy R. Hucik, 83 years of age of Mantua Township, passed away Sunday May 2, 2010 at her residence. Mrs. Hucik was born on November 22, 1926 in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of the late Ernest and Nettie (Pestal) Schultz. Mrs. Hucik was a graduate of Kent State University in Elementary Education, after which she taught at Stafford Elementary School in Maple Hts., Ohio. Formerly of Maple Hts., Mrs. Hucik was a resident of the Mantua area the past 18 years. A homemaker for many years, she enjoyed gardening, making crafts, reading and those who mourn her passing will best remember Mrs. Hucik as a lady her cherished her family and people from all walks of life that she met and continued friendships with. On November 20, 1948, she married John W. Hucik who preceded her in death on November 5, 2009. She is survived by her children David (Deb) Hucik of Aurora, Tom (Loretta) Hucik of Medina, Diane (Frank) Locktish of Walton Hills and Kathryn (John) Fudella of Mantua and 6 loving grandchildren and 1 cherish great-grandchild. Calling hours will be Wednesday 5:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua, where her funeral service will be held Thursday May 6, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Susi Kawolics of the Bainbridge United Church of Christ officiating. Mrs. Hucik will be laid to rest at Westlawn Cemetery in Mantua Township beside her beloved husband John W. Hucik.
