Dorothy Ann Potter's Obituary
MANTUA TWP. Dorothy Ann Potter, 83 years of age, a lifetime resident of Mantua Township, passed away Saturday August 29, 2009 at her residence. Born in the same family residence on November 25, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Luke and Dorothy (Walker) Wadsworth. Since 1974, Mrs. Potter was the Administrator of Potter Home in Mantua. Dorothy advocated supporting her community, which included shopping locally, donating to the Fire Department and living her life with a warm smile and generous attitude to anyone in need. She could be tenacious in spirit, yet will be remembered for her kind words to all and always extending herself to her family and community. An avid home shopper, she enjoyed fishing with her late husband George. On November 20, 1948, she married George D. Potter who preceded her in death in 2007. Survivors include her son David G. Potter and daughter Bettelou Ann Keaton both of Mantua, her grandchildren Joshua Keaton of Juneau, Alaska, Jacob Keaton of Kent, Justin and Joy Ann Keaton both of Mantua and her great-grandchild Elijah Keaton of Juneau, Alaska. Calling hours will be Tuesday 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua. A graveside funeral service will be Wednesday September 2, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. at Westlawn Cemetery in Mantua Township, where Dorothy will be laid to rest beside her husband George.
