Dorothy Roach's Obituary
GARRETTSVILLEDorothy L. Roach, 84 years of age of Garrettsville, passed away Tuesday September 22, 2009 at University Hospital in Cleveland. Mrs. Roach was born in Richwood, West Virginia on March 5, 1925 the daughter of the late Delmer and Melva (Johnson) Wright. A longtime resident of Solon, she had resided in the Garrettsville-Nelson area since 2007. A homemaker, Mrs. Roach enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas, Atlantic City, Niagara Falls and West Virginia to spend time at her favorite sport of gambling and playing the lottery. On May 12, 1944 she married Wilmer F. Roach who died in 2005. Survivors include her children Brad (Suzanne) Roach of Cuyahoga Falls, Timothy Roach of Mantua and Dorothea "Dotty" (Raymond) Sawyer of Garrettsville, 7 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and her cousin Mabel (Wally) Kreps of North Olmsted. She was preceded in death by her son Daniel in 1961. Calling hours will be Thursday from 6:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua, where funeral services will be Friday September 25, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. Mrs. Roach will be laid to rest at Roselawn Cemetery in Solon, Ohio.
