Edith Margaret Gall's Obituary
MANTUA Edith Margaret Gall, 90 years of age, passed away Monday, December 12, 2011 at her residence. Born in Vestaburg, Pennsylvania on June 18, 1921, she was the daughter of the late John and Julia (Ptak) Leffler. Mrs. Gall operated a dairy farm in Daisytown, Pennsylvania with her late husband and his parents for several years. Upon moving to Cleveland, she was a shorthand secretary, and along with her husband ran a grocery store for many years. A resident of the Mantua area since 1970, Mrs. Gall formerly was a real estate agent in Solon and was employed at Revco in Twinsburg as a secretary until her retirement. Mrs. Gall held memberships in Crossroads Community Church and the Hungarian Cultural Society. A lady known for her generosity in helping family and friends, her making of pies and especially donuts will be remembered, as well as missed, by her family. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Gall, Jr. in 1983. Survivors include her children Joseph E. Gall of Chardon, Albert W. Gall of Cleveland, Ronald J. (Linda) Gall of Auburn Township, Daniel L. (Carol) Gall of Mantua and Gloria (Richard) Rizzo of Andover, 16 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 5:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua, where her funeral service will be held Thursday, December 15, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Keith McKnight officiating. Mrs. Gall will then be laid to rest at Westlawn Cemetery in Mantua Township.
