Edmund E. Heugel's Obituary
MANTUA-SHALERSVILLEEdmond E. Heugel, 71 years of age, passed away Monday November 18, 2013 at Robinson Memorial Hospital in Ravenna, Ohio. Born in Pecksmill, West Virginia on May 3, 1942, he was the son of Ira S. and Vicie (Adkins) Heugel. A resident of the Mantua-Shalersville are the past 3 years, he had been a longtime resident of Tennessee, also residing in Hudson, Ohio prior to Tennessee. While in Ohio, he had been employed in the manufacturing industry. Edmond served his country during the Viet Nam Era in the U.S. Army, and held membership in American Legion Post No. 0136 in Onida, Tennessee. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, and will be remembered by his family and friends as a loving, caring man to all. Survivors include his devoted mother Vicie Walker of Mantua, his dear sisters Virginia (Angelo) DiMatteo of Garfield Hts., Gladys (Jim) Ashby of Garrettsville, Betty (Rich) Berglof of Shalersville, and numerous loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Ira Heugel in 1961. Calling hours will be Thursday from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service in Mantua, where his funeral service will be held Friday November 22, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Final resting place will follow at Harrington Cemetery in Nelson Township, where full military honors will be provided by the U.S. Army Honor Guard Team, assisted by members of American Legion Post No. 193, Mantua, Ohio.
